South Staffordshire Local Plan - Call for Sites

Alongside the Scoping Consultation, the council undertook a Call for Sites excercise. This invites landowners, developers and other interested parties to submit land for consideration for a range of uses, including housing, traveler sites, employment sites, renewable energy and retail. The call for sites allows us to understand what sites options we have for different types of development. It is important to note that this is a land availability exercise, and it does not necessarily mean that these sites are suitable for development. Through the plan-making process, the Council will determine how much growth should be included in the plan, and where it should be located.
Sites submitted to the council previously, needed to be resubmitted again through this process between 10th June 2026 and 22nd July 2026, to be considered,

Call for Sites
This exercise invites stakeholders to submit land or buildings that may be suitable for future development or other uses. Submissions will help inform the evidence base for the Local Plan. The council will undertake a thorough review the site submissions before concluding which ones may be considered suitable for development, and further updates will be posted in due course.
Site submissions were accepted for six weeks between 10th June 2026 until midday on 22nd July 2026.
