Phases
Scoping Consultation
The Council is now undertaking its scoping consultation, which represents the first stage of public engagement in preparing the South Staffordshire Local Plan (SSLP). This consultation seeks views from residents, stakeholders and other interested parties on the issues and challenges that the SSLP should seek to address and what the plan should contain. As part of this stage, a draft Community Engagement Strategy and a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Scoping Report have also been published.
The consultation will run from 10th June 2026 until midday on 22nd July 2026.
Please note that the consultation system only accepts one submission per user per consultation. If you do start the form before you are ready to submit, you can leave the platform and the system will save your progress so you can continue at a later time (but before the consultation closes). If you need to make multiple representations on behalf of different clients, please note the form will give you the option to provide multiple responses, however, collectively these will be one submission. Once you click ‘submit’ you will not be able to make further comments.
To assist, a preview of the online representation form can be found under the 'Supporting Documents' section above, or here.
