South Staffordshire Local Plan - Call for Sites

A Call for Sites excercise invites landowners, developers and other interested parties to submit land for consideration for a range of uses, including housing, traveler sites, employment sites, renewable energy and retail. This allows us to understand what sites options we have for different types of development. It is important to note that this is a land availability exercise, and it does not necessarily mean that these sites are suitable for development. Through the plan-making process, the Council will determine how much growth should be included in the plan, and where it should be located using the sites submitted.
New sites are being accepted by the Council between Friday, 2nd October 2026, until 12pm midday, Friday, 30th October 2026. There is no need to re-submit sites that were previously submitted during June/July 2026.
Phases
Call for Sites - October 2026
The Council is re-opening the Call for Sites to provide a further opportunity for new site submission only. Any sites that were submitted during the June/July 2026 Call for Sites have already been recorded and will be considered as part of the assessment process. There is no need to re-submit sites that were previously submitted.
This exercise invites stakeholders to submit land or buildings that may be suitable for future development or other uses. Submissions will help inform the evidence base for the Local Plan. The council will undertake a thorough review the site submissions before concluding which ones may be considered suitable for development, and further updates will be posted in due course.
The opportunity to submit sites is open from Friday, 2nd October to 12pm midday on Friday, 30th October 2026.
To submit a site, please select the 'submit a site' button, or from within the 'submitting a site' section, above.
